The New Inn Gloucester

The New Inn GloucesterBuilt from around 1430,  as an inn for pilgrims who came to the Cathedral, it has a medieval courtyard with galleries on all sides. The Chapman Group have bought the New Inn and have restored the bedrooms that were converted into offices, and refurbished the buildings. It has been described as the finest example of a medieval galleried Inn to be seen in Britain today. It was originally built by St Peters Abbey between 1430 and 1450 and replaced an earlier Inn, giving it the Title New Inn.
